As winter settles in, daylight is fleeting and nighttime overstays its welcome. However, with the warm light of candles, you can brighten your home and your spirit. And you can add dimension to the glow and flicker of candles by adding a fused glass sconce!
In this class led by the ever glowing Cathy Cartwright, you will make a curved sconce panel with bright slivers of dichroic glass. Dichroic glass is made with metallic oxides that both transmit and reflect light. You can include the glass in your own design or one of many that Cathy will have on hand. Once completed, place your sconce in front of a row of candles to add shimmer and sparkle to your home and heart.
Friday, January 25th, 6-8:30pm
Class is $55 and includes all materials, tools and instruction.
Glass sconce will be fired and available for pickup at Art Box approximately one week after the class.
