Fused Glass Sun Catcher Class

Glass fusing is the process of layering colorful pieces of glass, then firing them in a kiln to create unique and beautiful designs on everything from plates and coasters to suncatchers and jewelry.

In this class, we will create two stunning window ornaments to catch the sun and light your sitting room, kitchen window, bedroom corner, or any room you’d like! Cathy Cartwright will guide students to design and assemble two sun catchers (keep one and gift one away!) using pieces of glass, including strips, squares, bits, and pebbles. Cathy will then fuse them at her studio; they will be available for pick up at Art Box a week later. Create specific scenes (flowers, sun or moon, butterfly, dragonfly) or create something abstract - whatever you choose, it will sure to add sparkle and bring delight!

Saturday, August 3rd, 10am-1pm

Class is $45 per person for two Sun Catchers and includes all materials and instruction.
